Hello all,

I just wanted to let you know I’m moving the blog over to my new maa organics website, which I’ve finally put aside some time to start on.  It’s a work in progress that will be evolving over the coming months.

You can still visit us here for all the old articles, but from here on in all new articles will be posted over at our new home.

Soooooo, coming up there’ll be more regular blogging about skincare, aromatherapy, lifestyle and wellbeing, food, special places and spaces and inspiration galore.  I’ll also be continuing to share the months treasures and roundup of posts.  Dee’s Delights is now going to become Gratitude Nine, a weekly collection of 9 things I’m loving –  words, photos and images of gratitude to warm your soul.  And some guest posts, starting with some inspiring women I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing.

So, pop on over and check out what we’re up to.

Aromatherapy Oil Burner Blend

Hello everyone,  it’s lovely to be back here with a beautiful blend for you this week.

Do you ever feel a bit unsettled or wish you were somewhere else?  I have to admit after coming back from my break in Canberra, my soon to be new home, I felt very unsettled and resistant to get back into my life here.  I realised I need to relax a bit more, go with flow, enjoy the now, accept and embrace that I am exactly where I should be right now!!!

With that in mind I created this blend to help me feel relaxed, settled, centered, strong and in the moment.  Try it and let me know if you love it too!

cedarwood – is calming, soothing and harmonising.  It’s sedative action helps to reduce stress, depression and exhaustion, allowing the mind to relax and emotional tension to be released. It also helps to improve confidence and is strengthening, bringing a sense of self-empowerment and self-love. It allows focus and openness which enhances caring, endurance, balance and positivity.

cypress – is cleansing, tonifying and strengthening.  It is great for increasing vitality. It nourishes an over-burdened nervous system, reducing stress, nervous tension, restoring calm and soothing the spirit on a deep level.  It also assists in times of change, major decision-making and transition of any kind.  It also enhances honesty, inner wisdom, acceptance and harmony.

bergamot – is truly balancing.  It’s uplifting yet sedative nature make it perfect for reducing anxiety and depression.  It is strengthening and soothing, gentle and joyous, refreshing and restoring.  It is particularly good for burn-out and stress.  It brings relaxation, rejuvenation and positive energy.  It is great for motivation, strength and fulfillment.

What essential oils do you use when you are feeling unsettled, resistant or not living in the moment?  I’d sooo love to hear from you, share in the comments section below if you so desire ♡

We can make this or any custom blend just for you.  For more information email me at info@maaorganics.com.au or visit the maa organics facebook page by clicking here.

maa organics product samples sent to a new client.  I love creating new things for everyone!

a busy pre-weekend away Thursday…finishing off work stuff, getting house and cats ready!

B-School: WOW!!!  Great stuff.  Overwhelming.  Scary.   Unsure.  Am I doing it right?  Un-clarity (new word, that I’m sure needs to be in the dictionary!!!). Learning to just do it and knowing that I can change/adjust as I go along.  Loving the process of knowing that all this new knowledge is leading somewhere.  LOL, as you can see, many emotions but at the end of the day it’s all sooooooo good!

a beautiful weekend away in Canberra.  The best food. The Artisan.  Great wine.  The Urban Pantry.  Bubbles. Post dinner city walks. Chatty locals (thank you to Gemma and Jess for your amusing drunken conversation!!!).  Zaija treatments.  Cooked brekkies. Espresso. Jo Mercer shoes.  Driving ALL around Canberra. Property research.  More property research.  Manuka love.   See some pics in this post.

A couple of nice relaxing holiday days at home!

B-School meet up:  AWESOME!!!!  Gorgeous girls inside and out.  Inspiring.  Funny.  Sharing.  Caring. Laughs.  HUGE Thank you 🙂

Canberra, Thank You For A Lovely Weekend…

Last weekend we had a lovely time exploring and researching our soon to be new hometown. Here’s few picks to sum up the joy we found…

I have to admit to forgetting my camera on a couple of occasions so some things weren’t captured on film so to speak…like my perfect manicure at Zaija, beautiful brekkies, a to-die-for dinner at the Artisan, a walk along Lake Burley Griffin after visiting the Old Bus Depot Markets, Manuka cafes, shopping and I’m sure much more that has slipped my mind from what was a non-stop weekend!

Aromatherapy Oil Burner Blend

Hello aromatherapy lovers!  Guess what?  It’s holiday time!  I haven’t had a break for quite some time, just a couple of days since January 2012, so it’s well and truly time.  10 days of relaxation and time for me.  Well, there will be a little bit of work, but I LOVE my job so it doesn’t feel like work!  A weekend away and I never leave home without my essential oils, so today I have a travel blend for you.  You can use it in your oil burner or just inhale directly from the bottle!

I created this travel blend to be energising, uplifting, refreshing, cleansing, comforting and balancing.  All the things I know I’ll be needing on my weekend away.

Geranium – is a fantastic balancer for the nervous system.  It relieves stress & depression, strengthening and balancing the mind.  It is fantastic if you are feeling run down.  It is also excellent for feelings of anxiety, indecisiveness and self doubt.  It is fortifying, comforting and calming, enhancing contentment, confidence and the ability to change.

Basil – is strengthening and clearing to the mind, reducing mental fatigue.  It is strengthening and tonifying for the nervous system and especially useful for anxiety, fear, confusion and feelings of weakness or vulnerability.  It is uplifting and enhances concentration, making it great for decision making, enhancing purpose and clarity of thought.  It is very protective when the immune system is low, there is nervous exhaustion or a big change is occurring in your life.  It is anti-fatigue and purifying to both mind and body.

Rose –   is for the heart, it is for falling in love with life and all that entails.  It is refreshing to the soul, bringing joy and love to the heart.  It promotes self-esteem , compassion and enhances the feminine spirit.  It is harmonising and healing, bringing warmth, peace, fulfillment and rejuvenation to the mind, body and spirit.  It is also comforting & soothing in times of emotional stress.   It is perfect to use in times of grief and loss. A great anti-depressant, it helps dispel fear and anxiety.

Bergamot ~ is truly balancing.

Dee’s Delights

A very happy Tuesday evening to you!  Welcome to this weeks Dee’s Delights.  I hope you’ve had a fabulous week…I certainly have!  So much great stuff going on at the moment, so I’ll get right down to it and share some of the happy highlights…

Walk:  This magical sky captured on a beautiful afternoon walk.

afternoon sky

Work: maa organics website.  I did it! I started! That’s the main thing right?!  It’s evolving as we speak.

Work: massages in the peaceful Julatten Studio and the Daintree Rainforest…does it get any better?

B-School: I’ve met, messaged and spoken to some amazing women who are enrolled in B-School!  And now have two mega-inspiring ladies as accountability partners who I’ll be keeping in regular contact with.  We’ll be updating each other on our goals and progress as we make our way through the course.  Very exciting indeed!  And lots of goodies from the Path To Wellness for signing up through their link…thank you thank you thank you!

And it all began today!  YAY!!!  all downloaded and ready to go!

On a little disappointing note, I didn’t win the scholarship to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.  A big congrats to the lucky lady who won.  It’s obviously not quite the right time for me yet, but I will find a way to do it.  I found out today that they often offer discounted prices – a big plus and something to keep my eye out for!

Hair Cut: by the lovely Jennifer Campbell.  Just a little trim and tidy up as the growing project continues!  It feels like it’s gradually getting there, even had some comments lately about how it looks longer!

Weekend  Away Wardrobe Planning: Help! Autumn! Just how cold is it going to be? I can almost hear some of you laughing at that…anything under 25 degrees Celsius is cold for me.  Hmmm, maybe I should pack my winter coat after all! And I do need some closed in shoes!…will have to pack my boots just in case!

and other decadent delights… coconut water  – blueberries – feeling honoured – phone catchups – Canberra connections – purring pussycats – new magazines and positive thoughts.

And from Pinterest this week, a reminder of just how wonderful you are…
